LRNG Innovators

LRNG Innovators is an initiative created through a partnership between the National Writing Project and John Legend’s Show Me campaign. LRNG Innovators asks teachers to identify the collective challenges they face as they work to expand interest-driven learning and then invests in teams of teachers through grants and technical support to spreadable solutions that help redesign education for the 21st century.

This year LRNG Innovators is challenging teachers to reach beyond the schoolhouse door to develop partnerships and programs that connect in-school and out-of school learning and create opportunities for young people to follow their interests and do ambitious work. With support from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, The National Writing Project and John Legend’s Show Me Campaign, LRNG Innovators is investing in teams of teachers committed to exploring how learning experiences can move fluidly and coherently across the spheres of formal and informal learning.
